This first time collaboration of the above-mentioned Art Support and Art Advocacy Organizations came about as a result of their enthusiastic support of a resolution that was unanimously passed by all 12 Manhattan Community Boards in their effort to support “small to mid-sized” non-profit performing art organizations throughout ALL FIVE BOROUGHS OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK.

It is now time to broadened the proposal to secure property tax relief for “ALL” NYC non-profit performing arts organizations, regardless of size.

To that end, information on the following agenda items will be provided (and your participation in a spirited talk-back is encouraged):

  • How is this tax relief initiative progressing?
  • What are the next steps and how can you get involved?
  • What other direct political action can be taken to support our sector?

Managing/Executive Directors, Artistic Directors and Board of Director Members of non-profit performing arts organizations are especially encouraged to attend but all are welcome.
